Kewal Ahuja, Restaurant Owner SGF India said: “We have more than 30 restaurant outlets in Delhi-NCR and we are facing the issue of delivery in most of the outlets. We had applied for e-passes 2-3 days ago, but no passes were issued to us, for this reason we are facing difficulties as we are not able to deliver the food. In an effort to maintain the activity even amid the restrictions, the owners demanded to fix the problem at the earliest.
Expressing his dismay at the reduced revenue share under restricted operations, Ahuja said, “We are calling on the Delhi government to address the issue. The catering industry is facing a crisis with the restrictions already imposed because we have to operate at 50% capacity but pay the same amount of rent and salary to the staff.” Rohit, owner of Bistro 57, said: “The main problem is the displacement of the delivery people. that food delivery is allowed and that we can open the restaurants for online delivery and take-out. However, we cannot come to our outlets because we have not received a pass.
